Company History

SL-Tech was founded more than 25 years ago as SNAP Systems, a provider of foodservice software to K-12 school districts. Our goal has always been to create a company dedicated to helping school districts qualitatively improve their foodservice operations. Many of the concepts we pioneered have since become industry standards: "fast-food-style" terminals, integrated Back of the House systems, the Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF), online prepayments, reimbursable vending programs and more. All of these efforts represent steady progress toward our vision of what school foodservice can be.

In 1998, SL-Tech acquired Computer Assisted Foodservices (CAFS). This acquisition produced a company with unprecedented experience and the resources to understand all aspects of K-12 school foodservice information technology.

In 2004, SL-Tech acquired inTEAM Associates, an operational consulting company. This acquisition has enabled us to provide comprehensive solutions that truly set us apart from other companies in this industry. We are committed to working with our customers to combine the power of technology and operational expertise to build high-performing school foodservice programs.
