Gertrude Applebaum is a former Foodservice Director for the Corpus ChristiIndependentSchool District, and Past President of the School Nutrition Association. She is an innovator and early adopter of centralized kitchens and efficient operations. A recipient of the IFM Silver Plate Award, Gertrude has written many articles for publications such as Food Management, Restaurant and Institutional Investment Management magazines. She joined inTEAM as one of the original owners and founders in 1992.

Tami Cline brings a wealth of professional and educational experience to inTEAM. She has extensive marketing expertise and foodservice experience. Tami owns her own consulting business, Cline Consulting, a foodservice and communications firm, and she co-owned Y-Pulse LLC, a foodservice marketing research firm. Tami has served in executive-level marketing positions for SL-Tech, Schwan’s Foodservice, and the National Dairy Council, and was the Director of Nutrition and Education for the School Nutrition Association. She was also the Director of Food Services for Brookline Public Schools (MA). Tami holds a doctorate in foodservice and lodging management from Iowa State University.

Elaine Hunt served as the Child Nutrition Director of Wake County Public School System in North Carolina for 30 years. With her MBA, Elaine ran a progressive, financially sound and technologically advanced foodservice program, with an emphasis on training for all employees. During her tenure with Wake County, Elaine developed a management training program for cafeteria managers. In a fast-growing school district with more than 115,000 students, she also created a Training Specialist position to lend further training assistance to schools. A credentialed School Nutrition Association member, Elaine has also been Membership Chair, Secretary, Vice President, President-Elect and President of the North Carolina School Nutrition Association.

Jean Ronnei has been the Director of Nutrition and Commercial Services for 19 years for a large urban district in Minnesota, where 70 percent of the 40,000 students are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. In addition to overseeing a $21 million Nutrition Service budget, Jean is responsible for the district storehouse, distribution and graphic service operations. She is the current President-Elect of the Minnesota Nutrition Association and was named 2006 FAMESchool Nutrition Association Director of the Year. Jean received her bachelor’s degree from IowaStateUniversity in hotel and restaurant management.

Cyndie Story is a registered dietitian and certified chef with the American Culinary Federation. She has more than 15 years of experience as a Foodservice Director, Supervisor and Trainer in the field of school foodservice management and nutrition. Chef Cyndie specializes in providing food demonstration classes, quantity food production classes, safe food handling (ServSafe) certification and HACCP courses. She is the author of The Produce Manual: For Healthy School Meals, a training manual designed to teach school foodservice professionals improved ways to prepare and serve fresh fruits and vegetables for children. Cyndie holds a doctorate in foodservice and lodging management from Iowa State University.

Claudie Phillips, President of CP Professional Foodservices, Inc. and founder of The ICONS Foundation, joined inTEAM in 2005 as a consultant. Claudie served 16 years as the Assistant Foodservice Director Manager of Nutrition Services for the Chicago Public Schools. Claudie has a bachelor’s degree in home economics and holds a master’s degree in education. In 1996, Claudie was awarded the Jessie B. Deloch Achievement in Business Award by the Minority Business Opportunity Committee, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Food and Consumer Service. Her background and experience in foodservice management, marketing and community outreach bring a welcome dimension to inTEAM services.
