Legal Notice Matters/Work Agreements

Sheila Sheridan says they met with the Department of Labor and with the school district’s Human Resource Department related to employing students. It was decided that students do not cashier. They are trained in a short session about food sanitation and how to safely handle food. The students are required to:

  • Have and maintain a 2.5 grade point average
  • Attend a sanitation class
  • Complete an application and have fingerprints taken
  • Work at school they attend
A Sample Agreement: Accountability is of important for this arrangement to work. The manager signs out a verified inventory for sale each day. At the end of the lunch period the remaining inventory is turned back over to food services. Click on image to enlarge
A Snack Bar Sales Record is completed daily and the accumulative Snack Bar Report is completed monthly. Click on image to enlarge
